eQTLs have elucidated association between variants and gene expression, and thus some diseases and traits; but the mechanisms underlying such association are not well understood. As a postdoctoral researcher I use genotyping data and related NGS, single cell epigenetic and transcriptomic data to better elucidate the role and/or underlying mechanism of gene regulation by genetic variants.
