Four Star Designs, LLC is a California based Web Marketing Strategy Agency. We partner with Human Service Agencies to create strategies that build an effective online presence to attract, engage and convert traffic. Four Star Designs is based in Santa Maria, CA and serves California foster, adoption, welfare, CASA and other Human Services agencies.

New year, new position, new duties, same company. Citrix is an amazing place to work and full of managers that encourage career pathing based on your passion. I've been hoping to break into the Web Development team for a couple years now, as that is my passion and background. My current role is full of new horizons, including project management, leading web-based experiments, driving conversion and managing relationships in cross-functional teams as well as with external organizations. My new role will include website projects that include creative influences as well as back-end ops that drive efficiency and the best customer experience possible.

I enjoy working with all the various departments across the company, providing exciting opportunities for learning about customer behaviors. My job is diverse and each day brings new challenges and rewards. Often I spend time facilitating projects that encourage a testing environment. Using lean start up methods, we create tests to determine how stakeholders respond to various ideas. This can be anything from customer-facing experimentation to mocking up internal design of reports for better decision making in the company. Other facets of my job include defining customer metrics, coordinating high-level deliverable methods for reporting, and creating effective communications to teams across the company.

Part of my function is to deliver beautiful dashboards using Xcelsius from SAP Business Objects. I love taking raw data and getting it to a consumable format for the company. I have found the perfect marriage between my analytical sensibilities and my creative side. Citrix is a wonderful place to work / live. I have the freedom to work from home (or anywhere - thanks to GoToMyPC) while meeting daily with my peers (thanks to GoToMeeting with HD Faces). I love my job!
