Successfully exited the company in Sept 2012.

Comnitel Technologies was founded to address a growing need amongst the international markets for new products in the fast moving Telecom Operational Support System (OSS) arena. As co-founder of Comnitel, I was instrumental in growing the organisation to become a force in the greater Telco Management sector. Comnitel merged with a US based company, Watchmark in 2003. The combined entity was rebranded as Vallent and ultimately acquired by IBM in 2007 and since then has became the center of excellence for network management globally. IBM Cork, currently employs 300+ high caliber engineers in the same facility occupied by Comnitel in 2000 and is still using products that I was influential in architecting from the concept stage to market acceptance today.

In this role I was responsible for delivery of all of Motorola's International Cellular Software Releases. This consisted of the overall programme management responsibility; it involved the front end scope analysis, scheduling, resourcing, tracking, reporting and management of the releases. Projects were very large in size and encompassed sites in Chicago, Dallas, Texas, China and Cork. I was also responsible for managing the outsourcing relationship with a large vendor in Dallas (DSC). Typical overall project duration was 18 months and involved interacting with over 200 engineers and several departmental managers, concurrently managing a number of sub projects running at same time.

Paris, Ile-De-France, France

Lead Project Manager for a series of French and Swedish software releases, introducing new functionality for European markets. I was responsible for a team of French engineers and trained them on the methods and processes used within Ericsson. I managed the interface between Ericsson in both Ireland and Sweden to Matra (MET) in Paris.
