Land, Buildings and Real EstateThe Stanford Land, Buildings and Real Estate (LBRE) organization includes over 500 people who are responsible for planning, design, construction, maintenance, and operations of the buildings, grounds, infrastructure, and real estate holdings of Stanford University. As the Chief Information Officer I lead a team of 50 professionals who support the technology needs of LBRE business units. Our principle service areas include:- Application development implementation and support.- Server and network infrastructure administration.- Hardware and software support for desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.- Facilities information management.- Geographic Information Systems (GIS).- Computer Aided Drafting (CAD).- Civil surveying, utility locating, and aerial data collection.

Facilities OperationsThe Stanford Facilities Operations department included over 200 people who were responsible for maintenance and operations of the buildings, grounds and infrastructure of Stanford University. As the Manager of Technology and Special Projects I led a team of 15 professionals who supported the technology needs of the department. Our services included:- Server and network administration.- Hardware and software support for desktop and laptop computers.- Facilities information management.- Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) and Geographic Information Systems (GIS).- Field surveying and utility locating services.

Facilities OperationsAs the Special Projects Manager I oversaw a wide array of campus infrastructure projects including:- ADA barrier removal.- Pathway repaving.- Creek restoration.- Flood control.- Historic landmark restoration.

Responsible for campus master planning, capital planning, and minor project management.

Assisted in preparation of the Capital Improvement Program for submission to the Chancellor's Office, coordinated office space moves, and coordinated equipment orders for new facilities.
