About Chris Schlensker

Expert in design system architecture, full stack web engineering, animation, distributed systems, and all things frontend. I come from a graphic and web design background which I use to achieve a customer centric approach in my programming endeavors. Early in my career I focused on HTML/CSS and web design and from there I expanded my experience further into backend development and advanced javascript. I've always had an eclectic set of interests and eventually moved away from a design into full stack web development.In more recent years I've made the conscience decision to refine my focus to exclusively frontend development as it is highly active space that has a highly visual component and gives me plenty of opportunities to interact closely with design and product teams.Because of my background, I love working with designers. I hate saying "no" to their challenging ideas. I believe that programmers should strive to build the ambitious interfaces that designers envision, rather than be limited by what is easy or convenient.
