Dr. Francesca Parker is a licensed clinical psychologist, adjunct professor, and clinical supervisor with 15 years of clinical and research experience. Her areas of specialization include trauma recovery (including PTSD, complex trauma, and historical trauma), culturally responsive psychotherapy, military psychology, and empowerment and social justice as paths to wellness. Dr. Parker is passionate about mental health advocacy and becoming a better ally.Dr. Parker has worked with diverse populations in a broad range of settings, including community mental health, university counseling, private practice, and the VA. She is passionate about de-stigmatizing mental health care, and works from both individual and systemic perspectives to increase awareness and resiliency. Dr. Parker utilizes humanistic and psychodynamic theory, ACT, mindfulness, and somatic perspectives to support clients coping with a wide range of issues.  After graduating from the University of Chicago with a B.A. in Gender Studies, Dr. Parker earned her M.A. in Psychology and Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology at Pepperdine University. Her dissertation explored the use of liberation psychology in healing historical trauma in Native American Communities.
