I was also involved in the development of numerical engine of the MIKE Underwater Acoustic Simulator (UAS).I developed Python tools to do time series analysis for Environmental Monitoring and Management (EMMP), and for handling MIKE-specific filetypes in pre- or post-processing by accessing its .NET API with pythonnet.I have done R&D consulting of innovative water monitoring technology, employing multiphysics simulations and experimental validations involving piezoelectric device, fluid dynamics and acoustic wave propagation in air/gas, liquid and solid domains. This enabled involvement and partnership with different stakeholders: other companies and universities.I used mainly Python (including Numpy, SciPy, Pandas and Matplotlib) and Matlab for processing and visualisations of field/lab data and numerical modeling results. I have written successful research proposal together with NTU (Singapore) and Clarkson University (USA) faculties. It was on physical modeling of ocean wave - ice interactions using a continuum viscoelastic model. After the research funding was granted and secured (for 3 years), I continued with managing research budgets, equipment purchasing and executing research work. After the research funding was granted and secured (for 3 years), I continued with managing research budgets, equipment purchasing and executing research work. Naturally, I have prepared and published research results and reports.I built my Research Centre capability to do rheology experiments by purchasing a rheometer and gain the expertise on using it. I also supervised wave flume design and construction needed for the research project. The research project got some help from students too. Hence, I also contributed in supervision of a PhD student and an undergraduate Final Year Project student.Eventhough Singapore does not have sea ice, we managed to get international scientific community attention by organizing an ice international conference in Singapore (22nd IAHR International Symposium on Ice 2014). I was a member of the local organizing committee. As one of very few Singapore-based researchers working on ice, I have represented NEWRI in the First Norway - Singapore Arctic Symposium 2014. I was one of the very few invited speakers from Singapore.I also had been a guest lecturer for a Coastal Engineering class in NTU Civil and Environmental Engineering. Recruiting teaching assistants and help on scheduling.Conduct initial briefing/training for new teaching assistants as necessary.Here I learnt managing peers/colleagues to give the best learning experience for the students.

Teaching Physics tutorial classes for undergraduate Science and Engineering students. The subjects includes Mechanics, Electricity and Magnetism, Waves and Optics, Heat.Teaching is a beneficial hobby. I learnt how to be an effective communicator. To manage a classroom full of university students can be taxing, but the experience is invaluable.

I taught Cambridge's International Examination (CIE) IGCSE and A-level Physics to high school students (international class).Here I learnt to be an effective communicator and efficient manager. To manage a classroom full of teenagers can be daunting, but the experience I gain is invaluable.
