My career ambition is to enable new technologies that can facilitate Spaceflight in the coming future. In my dreams, I see space accessible by anyone. At OHB I am working as engineer in the Attitude and Orbital Control systems department on interplanetary defense and telecom satellites. At KTH, I enrolled the Aerospace programme with particular focus on spacecraft dynamics and optimal control theory. I was involved in REXUS 24 with team WOLF, as Mechanical Engineer. We built an active control system for an experiment ejected from a rocket and sponsored by ESA, among others.
Listed skills include Matlab, Solidworks, Engineering, Microsoft Office, and 22 others.

Title: "Robust attitude control of a spacecraft with flexible dynamics"Supervisors: Dr. Per Bodin, Dr. prof. Elling W. Jacobsen Brief description:A full-electric satellite is able to perform maoeuvres for orbit rising and momentum management by means of electric vectorial thrust. Because of the huge amount of power required, the solar panels resonant modes have a consistent impact on the pointing error. The problem becomes more complex in presence of large uncertainty in the structural paramenters of the system and, therefore, it is very difficult to meet the perfomance goals. A possible solution comes from optimal control theory in the Hardy space, where the objectives are defined respect to robust stability and robust performance. The alghoritm has then been validated in a spacecraft simulator through Monte Carlo analysis, showing a consistent increase in performance from previous design.

Member of WOLF team, which stands for antiWobble cOntroL system for Free falling units. It's an experiment which has flown on REXUS 24 sounding rocket as partaking of REXUS/BEXUS programme sponsored by the European Space Agency, RYMDSTYRELSEN and DLR. The launch was declared non-nominal since the rocket experienced a large conic motion and fell few km away from the launchpad. A failure investigation has been set up by Esrange and we were active part of it. WOLF objective was to design, test and validate an active control system which was supposed to dewobble a disc shaped spacecraft (FFU) and as second objective to develop a robust recovery system. This challenge also served "Space and Plasma Physics Department" of KTH as part of a bigger project which aims to send a rocket to explore Aurora properties. My duties concerned:• Responsible for mechanical design of FFU with focus on the recovery system and control actuator• Part in Testing, conducted following ECSS standards• Part in Manufacturing and IntegrationKEYWORDS: - CAD design using Siemens NX- MATLAB for evaluating body properties- Spacecraft dynamics & control- Project management- Teamwork- Documentation- Failure investigation

The task of the internship was to design the RIG for an onboard LIDAR, used for land cover survey. The LIDAR was supposed to be mounted on the lower part of the fuselage of a PA-32, for which a cut was demanded. Together with my teammate, we designed the support, by evaluating dimensions on the fuselage, then I proceeded with a FEM analysis on the structure. KEY POINTS:- CAD design using Solidworks- Mechanical interferences and risks evaluation- FEM analysis with Ansys- Teamwork

I spent my internship working on my Bachelor's Thesis. The title is "Optimization of CUTBACK on a bucket trailing edge of a gas turbine aimed at eliminating defects from pouring process".My task was to correct a damage occurred on the first stage of the High-pressure turbine, in a heavy power gas generator. The job involved knowledge in turbomachinery propulsion as well as materials science, in particular, fatigue crack propagation. I had the opportunity to work side-by-side to skilled engineers of a multinational organization, meeting quality standards and deadlines. I also had a good chance to be inspired by teamwork, seen as the only way to achieve unique results in a short term.KEY POINTS:- Knowledge about superalloy metals and special ceramics- FEM analysis using Ansys- Design of Experiments (DoE) - Parametric CAD design using UG NX- MATLAB and Microsoft EXCEL- Teamwork and processes- Turbomachinery applications- Scientific report writing

I served in the Italian Air Force military school as a member of DARDO cadet class. The military school "G. Douhet" is the only one that belongs to Air Force and its objective is to educate good citizens along with future leaders in the military environment. During this time, I had the opportunity to stay out from the "comfort zone" and learn how to manage stress conditions. I was lucky to be surrounded by professionals who taught me the importance of respect, lead by example and sacrifice himself for the team's sake. I also practiced sport in many declinations like Volleyball, Athletics, Swimming and Basketball. With the Volley school team, we competed in Venice for the military schools Cup in 2011. I was awarded with: Solemn honor, in the first year, and other 2 honors, in the third year. KEY POINTS:- Military training- Scientific Diploma- Strong teamwork- Survival course in open sea- Survival course in Mountain area- 11 flights (30' each) on glider G103-Twin Astir II as a pilot- 2 flights on ULA SM-209 (40' each) as co-pilot- Agonistic Sport
