Active Surrey's mission is to work together with our partners to develop long-lasting and high quality sporting and physical activity opportunities for all. I was responsible for working within a small team to deliver the Specsavers Surrey Youth Games 2017, the largest multi-sports competition in the county involving 15 sports and 11 boroughs for 7-16 year olds. Additionally I assist with health related work programmes and business development for the County Sports Partnership.

I worked with schools to increase participation through leading on the Sport England, national lottery funded Satellite Club programme and administrate the School Games, aiming to increase competitive sporting opportunities for young people.

I was a mentor and carer for underprivileged children in foster care, at a sleep away camp in America. I took the children to the different activities during the day and was their supportive role model for their time at camp.I have also been a Senior Expert which included planning the weekly special programmes and managing a group of 10 teaching staff members. Then I specialised in working with the 16-17 year old ‘counselors in training’, I conducted their leadership training and mentored them throughout the summer.

Sportbu - Bournemouth University

BUCS funded sports development role to improve female football provision at Bournemouth University as participation was low at the time. Added new social sessions, through in creating a partnership with AFC Bournemouth, to increase numbers which led to entering a new team into the Dorset women’s league for the next season.

I promoted Bournemouth University at open days by delivering campus tours and running taster sessions and workshops for prospective students. Influenced people to choose the institution through positive communication led to my achievement of the senior student ambassador position and enabled me to help hire the next year of ambassadors.

• I had a major role in the distribution of £90,000 Sportivate National Lottery funding to projects in Dorset.
