    Fran was known as the Golden Hawk from the mid 60's with the Regina Pats. He played with the Canadian National team and shared in the bronze medal at the 1968 Winter Olympics. He played in Stanley cup semi finals but had more passion in the Olympics and world championship. He played in the American Hockey league and the World Hockey Association. He played for the Canadiens,St Louis Blues,Winnipeg Jets Fran was inducted into the International Ice Hockey Federation Hall of Fame as well as the Saskatchewan Sports Hall of Fame.In the early 80's he coached in the WHL.
