“You win some you lose some, but you live to fight another day.” Perhaps the quote that has resonated with me ever since I could remember hearing it, and in many ways it has shaped me into the persistent person I am today. Born and raised in East Los Angeles, I became the first in my family to go to college and I plan on leading by example for more than just my siblings but my community as a whole. From a very young age my father taught me that excellence is determined by the way you hold yourself up and how you pick yourself up when you fall down. Through years of discipline and hard work I wish to one day be more than an example that people want to emulate, but I also want to be the one that gives back and be a guide to those in need. I want and I will see myself victorious in the near future, I live to fight another day and I live to see myself strive for greatness.
