• Accepting, reviewing and processing building and development permits to ensure conformance with the Land Use Bylaw• Providing the primary responses for Compliance Certificate requests from lawyer and realtors on the phone and at the counter• Reviewing, approving and issuing Compliance Certificates ensuring conformance to the Land Use Bylaw.• Obtaining and issuing permits (deck, shed, hot tub, etc.) and encroachment agreements that may be required to ensure conformance • Issuing and accepting payment for electrical, plumbing and gas permits• Answering of general questions from the public• Assisting the Planner and Development Officer when needed and handling of inquiries when they are away
