I worked with such a strong, supportive and passionate team who work tirelessly to keep children, young people and vulnerable adults safe. I delivered training to over 1600 leaders, both staff and volunteers during this 3 year period. I felt very privileged to create safe training spaces where the voice of lived experience was central and participants were able to explore their part in making their church a safe place.

- Leadership of Tearfund’s international logistics team comprising of logistics experts based in the UK and Kenya.- Developed and delivered a new strategy which has resulted in equipped personnel and a strong system of logistics support for Tearfund’s humanitarian response work. - Devised and implemented a monthly reporting process, which provides management at all levels with an overview of logistics risks and mitigating actions. - Recruitment and induction of new team members and overseas based staff.- Sensitivity in managing a variety of staff issues, including change management processes, staff appraisals and redundancy. - Managed and monitored team budget.- Liaised with a variety of external parties from suppliers to peer agencies, including delivering a joint project with other International NGOs. - Delivered a wide variety of training sessions, including a week-long workshop in Kenya for all Tearfund international logistics staff.- Audit/project management approach of scoping and setting out plans for each project with resource allocation and realistic timings. - Manipulation of data sources to produce reports and studies for management decision making. - Enjoy finding the most effective solutions in order to improve processes whenever possible. - Redeveloped policies and procedures to align with the new organisational approach, sector wide standards and institutional donor requirements.

- Purchasing, warehousing and distributing relief supplies from the UK to overseas country programmes, with short term secondments to overseas programmes. -Established key performance indicators to measure operational efficiencies, resulting in stock reduction of 20% in the first year and monitoring of service delivery to overseas programmes. -Developed and implemented a strategy to tender all key commodities resulting in cost reduction and reducing delivery times from over a week to next day.- Identified risks, developed appropriate controls and developed these into a new operations procurement manual which was implemented across all Tearfund’s overseas operations.- Compliance audits of high risk areas of procurement in overseas locations.- Organised and facilitated a week of training and shared learning for all overseas procurement managers.- Line managed and developed the Assistant Procurement Officer
