I've been involved with education and community regeneration for over 40 years. My previous role at North Nottinghamshire College was Assistant Principal and I now work for the college on strategic and operational projects.I'm committed to community development and raising aspirations in young people, and as part of that commitment I was involved in the development of Bassetlaw Children's Centres and am also the Chair of the Bassetlaw Community and Voluntary Service (BCVS) Trustee board.My other roles include Director of the Centre for Sport and Learning in Manton, Worksop, and I'm a trustee of other organisations including the Coalfields Regeneration Trust, Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust, the Priory and Gatehouse Community Trust, the Crossing SEC and the Nottinghamshire Community Foundation, as well as being a board member of Bassetlaw Public and Third Sector Partnership.Outside of work I'm a member of the Rotary Club of Worksop Dukeries, of which I have also previously been president, and regularly attend events with Voglia d'Italia - the Italian society of South Yorkshire and North Nottinghamshire.I'm a member of several walking groups and also enjoy Ceroc dancing when I have the time!
