Department of Natural Resources and Parks, Director's Office• Managed projects that advanced King County's efforts to prevent, reduce and avoid climate pollution from county operations and in the greater community, including crafting climate change messaging for internal and external use. • Supported King County-Cities Climate Collaboration (K4C), including representing King County on multiple work groups; coordinating educational events and summits for elected officials; and securing private foundation funding.• Coordinated procurement processes and managed paid consultants.Select accomplishments• Solely responsible for designing and implementing strategy to engage King County residents, youth, and other key stakeholders in the development of King County's 2015 Strategic Climate Action Plan (SCAP), involving online engagement, focus groups, and key informant interviews.• Shaped King County’s approach to integrating equity and social justice with climate change decision-making, including successfully advocating for the establishment of a career service climate justice partnerships position, coordinating a climate justice training for employees from more than 15 agencies, and building bridges across agencies to improve external communications and outreach on climate change issues.• Co-managed production of the 2015 SCAP, including editing and guiding graphic production. Developed goals and strategies, ultimately adopted as part of 2015 SCAP and now implemented by the County, to better integrate equity and social justice into the County’s climate policies, as well as build internal capacity for engagement and communications.

Select Accomplishments• Managed ECOSS’ fund development and grantwriting, including securing $300,000 of an $800,000 budget in one year; conducting prospect research, cultivating relationships for new funding opportunities, setting revenue goals, tracking revenue projections, engaging the board of directors, and improving internal management processes. • Advised effort to and secured $80,000 in first-time funding for South Park-based community groups to build community capacity and advance the development and implementation of the South Park Action Agenda, a community-driven revitalization initiative. • Edited and managed quarterly newsletter publication. Managed website redesign, including adoption of new content management system.

Select Accomplishments• Managed institutional relations (foundations, corporate partners, government), including annually securing $800,000 of a $1.5 million budget, cultivating relationships for new funding opportunities, establishing and tracking revenue goals, and helping plan and carry out fundraising events.• Played leadership role in designing fundraising strategy for Alliance for Puget Sound Shorelines partnership and securing partnership’s first grant of $4.5 million.

Designed curriculum and prepared lesson plans, assignments, and exams for undergraduate course on the fundamentals of international relations, including building students' written and verbal English-language skills.
