I got my degree in Mathematics from the University of Alicante (Spain) in 2002, and my Ph.D. in optimization in 2007 at the University of Murcia (Spain). After working for a business company in Madrid for nine months as a Portfolio Valuation Analyst, I took a postdoctoral position at the University of Alicante, supported by the program "Juan de la Cierva". In June 2011 I became a Research Associate at the Priority Research Centre for Computer-Assisted Research Mathematics and its Applications (CARMA) at the University of Newcastle (Australia) under the direction of Laureate Prof. Jonathan Borwein. Two years later, in September 2013, I moved to Luxembourg where I became a Marie Curie Fellow (AFR Postdoc) at the Systems Biochemistry Group at the Luxembourg Centre for Systems Biomedicine (LCSB). In November 2014 I left the group and joined again the University of Alicante as a Ramón y Cajal fellow. In September 2020 I became an Associate Professor at the Department of Mathematics at the University of Alicante, and Full Professor in October 2024.
