I managed the studio of a world-class 3D animation and motion capture production company. Recruiting 3D artist interns for the rolling placement programme, as well as new employees and digital freelancers (animators, programmers, riggers and character artists); I managed the contracts, licenses, assets and onboarding processes to keep everything ticking.

I built my own photography business from scratch, designed and maintained a website, convinced potential clients to book me, managed my own accounting, and then photographed and edited thousands of images. During this time I had work featured on various well respected industry blogs, a lot of happy clients, and a healthy bottom line.

Auckland, New Zealand

In this role I was responsible for coordinating the fundraising campaign for the 5th Auckland Triennial to generate new audiences and garner support from Patrons. I worked with the marketing team to produce proposals, met with donors and prospects, and prepared a development strategy for the gallery to implement.

I assisted the Development Manager, Collections, with fundraising for acquisitions, organising cultivation events, researching prospects and drafting correspondence with donors. I was tasked with managing my own prospect pool and working closely with Tate’s curators on acquisition projects such as the Frieze Art Fair each year. I also maintained donor.

I worked with the Individual Giving team (comprising Patrons, Annual Fund and Legacies) raising funds for the four Tate galleries. Responsibilities included; coordinating marketing projects and mailings, organising events, managing budgets, working with senior volunteers, producing prospect reports, drafting copy for print material and assisting in any.

I worked on this previously disused space from an early point, helping to transform it into a programmable gallery space. I also completed funding applications to fund their exhibitions.

I undertook a work placement documenting the wallpaper and textiles collections at TheWhitworth Gallery. This required the use of KE EMu, their collections management database,the correct handling of objects, being trained in their acquisitions policy and working toSPECTRUM standards.

I helped to manage the gallery space and develop the programme alongside the Gallery Manager, installing shows and working at private events. One of my main duties was the coordination of the CUBE 2008 Open Submissions.

Whilst an Intern at Kicken I was given a variety of research tasks to provide information forthe Art Basel Fair, as they were representing various photographers at the show. I alsoresearched photography collections in the United Kingdom as Kicken wanted to expand itsrelations with other European galleries. I worked with original prints in the archive.

At the Henry Moore Institute I undertook guided tours and provided an informative role formembers of the public. I also worked on reception answering any queries and produced mid-show response reports for the curators of the Henry Moore Institute.

Leeds, United Kingdom

Working alongside the Assistant Registrar and the Natural History Curator I was responsible for cataloguing the taxidermy collection and introducing a standardised labelling system. To do this I helped with the photographing, storage and documentation of the collection.

I worked with the artistic team on several strands of ESA organisational development andprogramming through regular meetings to discuss and suggest further ideas and providesupport through undertaking research tasks. I attended monthly meetings for Leeds VisualArts Forum (LVAF), and West Yorkshire Visual Arts Network (WYVAN), and helped with thelaunch.
