During my internship in the Measurements and Commissioning Unit, I actively participated in testing high-voltage substations (23 kV, 66 kV, and 220 kV). These tests were critical to ensuring the safe and reliable operation of the electrical systems. I supported the execution of tests on transformers, circuit breakers, power cables, and disconnect switches to ensure proper functioning. The tests performed included winding resistance measurement, insulation resistance, transformer turns ratio tests, power factor (tan δ), circuit breaker opening and closing times, contact resistance, and high-voltage tests. These activities were essential for optimizing the efficiency and safety of the substations, contributing to the continuous improvement of operational and maintenance processes, and ensuring the electrical system's reliability.

My responsibilities included performing thorough technical diagnostics of distribution equipment using various electrical tests, as well as conducting preventive and corrective maintenance activities. These tasks were vital in maintaining the reliability and safety of the distribution systems, minimizing interruptions, and contributing to the optimal upkeep of the electrical infrastructure.

I collaborated in the execution of initiatives related to implementing LEED standards at the local level, contributing to promoting eco-friendly practices in the construction sector. Among my responsibilities, drafting progress reports for various projects stood out, including those developed under the Technological Development Center, funded by CONACYT through the DeTIEC Project, with funds from FOCEM. In this context, I prepared progress reports, making sure the established objectives were met. Additionally, I actively participated in the launch of the 2016 Paraguayan Sustainable Construction Standard, providing support in coordinating and disseminating this necessary regulation, which promotes energy efficiency and sustainability in the country.
