Driving change management, implementing behaviour change strategies and uplifting data capability within the Department of Education through the new Office of the Chief Data Officer. I am passionate about data visualisation and finding new, innovative ways for us to use data to underpin our Departmental decisions. My current focus is the large-scale implementation of a new Data Governance Framework in the DoE to improve our knowledge management practices.

I manage a team of twelve incredible strategic research and insights professionals, providing data from across the Department to bring the voices of teachers, principals, school support staff and others into strategic decision-making.

I began at Hall & Partners as an Associate Partner in November 2020, and was promoted to Partner after less than a year. I held a key role in business development, as well as running national and state-based transformation and strategic insights projects for commercial, social and government clients. I worked closely with key clients in change management and transformation, policy reform and development, and insights-led decision-making, including the Office of the Governor General, the Department of Social Services, the Queensland Department of Agriculture and Fisheries, WorkSafe Victoria, and Transport for NSW.I also founded the Hall & Partners Behavioural Science Unit (BSU) in 2021, which provided thought leadership to public sector clients to change public health behaviours including gambling and vaping among teens and young people. I also founded the Hall & Partners Ethics Submission team, which pioneered protocols to govern research with vulnerable audiences.

I provided strategic research and insights across qualitative and quantitative methodologies to underpin decision-making in the areas of change management, reform, policy development, brand positioning, and transformation for both private and public sector clients.

I led end-to-end strategic qualitative and quantitative research and insights programs for social and government clients at both state and federal level.I have specific experience in a range of qualitative social and market research techniques including attitudinal and behaviour change research, research to inform policy, campaign launches, concept and communications testing, brand positioning, product launches, online board moderation and design, and strategic insights. I have a specific interest and experience in behaviour change research relating to health behaviour, and in particular to obesity risk behaviours including nutrition and physical activity. I have worked extensively in this area for federal and state clients including the Australian National Preventive Health Agency (ANPHA), the ACT Health Department, and the NSW Health Department. Key achievements in this area include extensive formative qualitative research and message territory testing for the Shape Up Australia campaign for ANPHA, holistic campaign testing and recommendations for campaign design for ACT Health, and overseeing qualitative research into social marketing to young people aged 12-18 for NSW Health.
