Foodservice sales / purchasing & marketing career spanning 32 Years! My first 26 years were spent in the Foodservice distribution community working at the corporate headquarter level of both National Buying Group(s) and Corporately owned distributors. Along my journey, I worked diligently, and I became regarded as "tough but fair". I am fortunate in that I was mentored by some of our industries most highly regarded and well respected individuals, and thus, was afforded many opportunities through the years. I worked with the finest men and women I have ever had the pleasure to meet, many of whom became personal friends.October 2009 while in Florida on business I was in an automobile accident which left me permanently disabled, and unable to continue my career. One of the saddest days of my life was when my career was ended so abruptly. I TRULY loved not only what I was currently doing, but the industry as a whole. I used to joke with my friends my intention was to be "wheeled" out of my office on a gurney some day! As long as I stayed abreast of the industry and enjoyed myslef I was absolutely never going to retire! I miss my friends and "my industry" terribly, but I am truly blessed to have had such a wonderful career. I cannot imagine life in a career that I did not love ---- I WAS LUCKY!Thank you for the memories & THANK YOU to those whom stay in touch with me!
