I assist in the management of the Resilient Virginia resources and events calendar which pools climate resiliency conferences and seminars from all over the state. I also contribute to the writing of the member briefs/newsletters. This internship gives me the opportunity to write publications for Resilient Virginia on specific aspects of adaptation or resiliency that I find important and relevant to Virginia communities.

Pupatella provides me with my seasonal job during the summer and winter months as a part-time server in their Mosaic District location. My responsibilities include hosting customers, delivering food and drink, taking orders, and restocking server stations. This experience is very fast paced and requires sustained focus and decisiveness. I find my position to be quite dynamic as well; there are many tasks outside of my role as a server that require intuition and organization to complete.

I returned to Steele Foundations as a part time employee during the summers of 2017, 2018, and 2022 helping with office organization, reception duties, and construction site reports. In this job I learned how to work in a professional environment and improve my organizational skills.

Before commencing university studies I worked as a full-time housekeeper for Midnight Hotel. Myresponsibilities included cleaning guest rooms efficiently and to an exacting standard. I was also responsible for tracking and restocking housekeeping supply rooms. This job required a hardworking mindset and taught me valuable time management and team building skills.
