Fairfield Hospital

Provision of professional leadership, guidance and operational management to a clinical unit. Coordination and evaluation of occupational therapy clinical services. Management of the facility Equipment Loan Pool (ELP). Management of departmental and ELP budgets and expenditure. Recruitment and selection of high quality staff and provision of clinical supervision, ensuring departmental compliance with performance management policies. Advanced clinical reasoning and provision of high level expert consultancy to staff. Development of clinical procedures to ensure high quality services. Coordination of departmental preparations for NSQHS accreditation, the WH&S facility audit and AHPRA registration, and monitoring for compliance. Representing Occupational Therapy and Allied Health services at facility and District levels.

Provision of clinical and operational management to a unit of over 30 staff members, including professional and technical staff. Clinical support and supervision of staff ranging from Level 1 to Level 6 clinicians. Assisting the SESLHD Head of Department in managing and directing the delivery of services, clinical redesign, Human Resources management and financial analysis. Assisting in policy and procedure development within the department in line with changing health facility regulations and restructure.

Complex assessment and discharge planning for clients with physical and cognitive impairments, brain injury assessment and management, clinical supervision of therapists and support staff.
