Frances is a former Director of CEDR and the former Head of Faculty. She was primarily responsible for CEDR's training and educational capabilities and she still works closely with CEDR in the role of Senior Consultant. Frances was accredited in 1994 and currently has had for some years a full-time practice as a mediator. Practicing for 19 years she is also a member of the Mary Parker Follet group of International Women Mediators and certified by the International Mediation Institute.Frances was described back in 2004 on entering the Chambers Directory, as the first non-lawyer woman to be included, "on a wave of market recommendation". The current entry for 2011 says "she has earned a reputation as one of the leading employment mediators on the circuit. Her mediation practice also encompasses broader commercial disputes, particularly in the corporate and financial sectors". She has handled hundreds of disputes and recent ones have included several partnership disputes and some complex internal matters.A long-standing member of CEDR Solve, noted by the Legal 500 Directory in 2010 as "one of CEDR Solve's most sought-after mediators".Frances is one of an elite group of highly respected non-lawyer mediators.
