Broadcast Journalist Frances Rivera is a two-time Emmy Award winner and can be seen nationallyanchoring daily on the NBC's Early Today show and filling-in on MSNBC.  She has also contributed on the weekend edition of The Today Show.   She joined the network in February of 2014. Prior to NBC, Rivera spent two years as the Anchor of PIX11 Morning News at WPIX (CW) in New York City.From 2001- 2010, Rivera was in Boston where she anchored the 5, 6, and 11pm newscasts onWHDH (NBC) as well as the 10PM newscast on WLVI (CW). While at WHDH/WLVI , Rivera wasrecognized repeatedly by the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Boston/New England Chapter with several Emmy nominations. In 2003 and 2007, she won the Emmy award for Outstanding Anchor.Frances also worked on-air at KWTV (CBS), in Oklahoma City. Before that she was with KFDX(NBC), in Wichita Falls, Texas. Prior to that, Rivera spent four years working behind the scenes at CBS News on the CBS ThisMorning show. In addition, she spent a year with the network’s political unit on the campaign trailfollowing the major events for CBS’s national coverage of the ’96 Presidential Election. During that time, she was a freelance co-host and reporter for the nationally syndicated PBS programAsian America.Frances graduation from the University of the Philippines with a degree is Journalism.
