I left school after my A levels, and I went straight into work and started working in a shop in retail to learn my customer service skills. After working in retail for 18 months, I was taken on by my current employer where I have been for the last 10 years. Having started as a Transport planner, with limited knowledge, I have gained an insight into how operate a fleet of vehicles efficiently and maintain them as well. While I was starting this position, I started my Bachelors degree online, whilst in full time employment, which I completed in 4 years. After being at the company for 5 years, I was moved into the position alongside my current one as Assistant Branch Manager. Taking on this role allowed me to develop skills in management, when I need to cover the Branch Manager. Whilst in this position, I have learnt how to manage a team effectively, complete investigations and disciplinary when needed. Throughout my 10 years in employment, I have learnt so much in this position, but want to develop my skills further and look to a future with more progression.
