    Edinburgh's Hogmanay is a three day Festival which takes place across Edinburgh from 30th December to 1st January and welcomes an audience of over 150,000 creating an economic benefit to the city of over £40 million. Edinburgh's Hogmanay events range from a Torchlight Procession through the streets of the Old Town, and the World Famous Street Party and Midnight Fireworks that lift from the ramparts of Edinburgh Castle and from Calton Hill to the Loony Dook (the chilly swim in the Forth under the shadow of the world famous Bridges) on 1st January. The Press Office welcomes journalists and photographers from around the world, and also manages live broadcasts by Sky News, BBC World News and other international broadcasters which take the event to a potential audience in 150 countries.
