I am an engineer with strong expertise in a broad set of technologies in the Big Data ecosystem built on top of a long software engineering career. Since 2013 I also developed my Big Data architecture, data engineering and data science skills in either research international projects and business or industrial applications.I am currently Data Analytics Platform Owner at Danone, my pripr experience was Data Engineer Tech Lead at Roche Diabetes Care and Data Analytics Lead at Strategy & Operations Consulting practice at Deloitte, setting up and developing a team of data analysts and scientists and leading the conceptualization of MDM projects including several stakeholders (IT, functional and analytics teams).And before, I contributed to the design, implementation, and deployment of a Big Data platform at a Fintech company based on AWS services, Spark and data analytics on financial data. I developed a similar architecture on-premise based on Cloudera for a space mission archive, delivering a first functional version to the scientific community; such architecture was also deployed on the cloud with AWS services among others. These developments covered most of the common layers of the Big Data system architecture, from data repository technology and design (Data Lake), ETL processes, job and resources management framework up to Big Data processing engine and user interfaces for dynamic data analysis. The latter was an international project, which required interaction with several parties from different countries and institutions. Moreover, I helped on the development of data analytics scientific use cases on the platform with the new distributed paradigm.I have been exposed to many development procedures, methodologies, tools and techniques, acquired during several years working on different projects, teams and industries, either developing front-end interfaces (web based or standalone client applications) or backend systems, field where I manly developed my career, focusing my professional activity on Big Data and Machine Learning.
