T-mobilitat is a key digital transformation and innovation project in all the public transport of the Barcelona Metropolitan Area by enabling not only a whole new contactless ticketing system but advanced functions (being the technological enabler of a future MaaS), EMV payments, and new tariff systems; but is also a complex and controversial project under a PPP contract and with a big political and social focus. My mission as the manager of this newly created unit was the research, promotion, and leadership of new services and opportunities with the following responsibilities:· Lead projects and initiatives that drive the company's digital transformation process.· Explore, assess, and disseminate transformation and innovation trends.· Define the strategy and lead the implementation of a data-based analytical model to maximize the value of the company's decision-making processes.· Coordinate and lead cross-organizational projects according to a value-based prioritization and the alignment to the company strategy and create, manage, and analyze the project portfolio of the Metro business.

After the success of the different phases of the automation project, the managing direction of the company empowered my team to put in value the successful methodology developed by expanding the responsibilities to four areas of activity:· Direction and boost of high-impact and cross-organizational projects most of them related to metro digitalization (i.e. onboard video surveillance system, new digital radio system, and underground staff tracking)· Planning and development of actions for Barcelona Metro network automation (i.e. L10S extension, L9/10 central section, and conventional lines conversion)· Coordination of the international activity of the company (Dublin New Metro North and Buenos Aires metro operation tender)· Endorsement of innovation projects (currently defining the Innovation Plan)

In 2009 I was promoted to the implementation team of automated lines in order to take responsibility of the project management for the upcoming metro automation projects and its related international activities. Management of Metro automation projects:· L9 and L10: functional requirements, roadmap and schedule management, resources planning, risks assessment, management tools design, systems integration and test plans· L11: planning and coordination of activities (requirements, resources, tests, Safety and documentation) for the driverless conversion of the line· Coordination of studies for future automation of conventional lines. I joined TMB as a member of the Central Services Unit depending on the Metro General Management to contribute with my project management experience in the coordination of the design, deployment, and change management of cross-organizational projects as:· Geographical Information System· Knowledge Management System· Signalling and driving simulators· People counting systems
