I worked on a project to project basis in a range of capacities- for museums, auction houses and galleries as an art handler, installer and picture framer, and on a commissioned basis making illustrations and album art.

I work one-on-one with designers and clients on-site and in the showroom facilitating the consignment and sale of Middle Eastern and South-East Asian hand woven rugs. I also act as project manager for luxury carpet jobs, from measuring interiors and drafting floor plans, to seeing the project through to installation.

I worked as an installer, viewing attendant, picture framer and art handler in the galleries and warehouse of a busy auction house. I worked closely with the photographs and editions departments during their sales to ensure that all works are safely hinged and framed, adapting seasonally to the needs of the auction house.

The Digital Ark

Assisting on a large-scale digitization project comprising 214,000 35mm slides of aerial images of Iowa for the United States Department of Agriculture - Natural Resources Conservation Service. Working with Lightroom, CaptureOne, and RICEpadi™ (short for Rapid Image Capture Engine), a customized digitization system and database developed by The Digital Ark.

Fitting and framing in the back of the shop, and installing/hanging art and objects in private residences, hotels and offices. Carefully packing framed art for shipping.
