thesis: Development of a Multibody Model for a Scale Vehicleabstract: This thesis aims to document the process followed to create and develop a multi-body model of a scale vehicle in the virtual simulation environment of Simscape Multibody. Initially, all the vehicle subsystems are analyzed, and the virtual model creation for each configuration is carefully explained. A variant design approach allows the user to regulate parameters, such as spring stiffness and attachment points of dampers and suspensions on the chassis. Once the full-body model is created, various maneuvers are established, and the relative simulations are performed. Finally, the results of the simulations are compared to the data collected from real on-track tests of the physical vehicle.
