My role as Business Manager at Wealth Matters is to run the Operations Department of the Business. This includes but is not limited to Marketing, IT, HR, Business Support and Compliance. Working with each team in synergy to make decisions to accommodate our business growth plans whilst delivering the best service possible for our clients. With my role, I run the majority of projects at Wealth Matters, playing a vital role in helping turn ideas into products, processes and services. This include planning, executing and supervising projects to meet our strategic objectives and to ensure project delivery within budget and on time.At Wealth Matters, we use the fundamentals of Gino Wickman’s ‘Traction’. This allows us to focus on our unique abilities, and to work as a highly functioning team. My role as the Integrator, is to work alongside the Visionary and CEO Julian Gilbert. Whilst Julian uses his vision and expertise to pursue business growth, my role is to bring those ‘ideas/visions’ to reality by discovering the ‘how, who, when, why and outcome’. Cascading these visions effectively to the team, identifying any potential issues and creating solutions, and ensuring smooth delegation and teamwork, my role oversees the success for Wealth Matters for both today and the future.

In March 2018 I was promoted to Office Manager after showing my passion for business and for doing what is right for the clients, the staff and the company. I am now responsible for Staff, HR, Operations, Marketing, Accounts, working with Openwork on Compliance, the ‘Client Experience’ and strategizing the future of the company. I also network with fellow business’, providers and peers to strengthen Ewing Associates relationships.

I started at Ewing Associates in 2017 as an Admin Assistant, after spending a year at an IFO in Stevenage. In my first year at Ewing Associates, I developed processes within the Back Office to streamline new and ongoing business, created in-house forms and checklists and established structure for staff to follow. This included analysing and organising the Back Office systems and databases, only retaining the essential programmes to help us to do conduct work efficiently. As a Back-Office team, we have identified new ways in order to ensure clients know their importance, and to give the Advisers a strong support system, an area which we continue to develop.

In 2012, I was promoted to Business Support Officer supporting a Department in the company who serviced large national Corporate Clients, ran Superannuation (Company Pensions) for companies and provided Insurance options on a Corporate and individual level. I learnt the fundamentals of Financial Planning during this time. My time in Financial Planning in Australia really exposed me to a simple yet very effective way to approach a clients Wealth. Australia is quite advanced in Financial Planning and as a country, individuals are generally financially self-sufficient and embrace the Financial Planning culture. Starting my journey in Australia, has given me a fantastic foundation to use in my career in the UK.

My time in Financial Planning started in Australia in 2010, as a Corporate Receptionist for Morgans, which is Australia’s largest national full-service stockbroking and wealth management firm. I was placed at the Head Office in Brisbane and was exposed to every department during my time at Corporate Reception. It is here that I finetuned my customer service skills, learnt about the Financial Markets and my love for Finance began. I was in a brilliant position to be able to understand how the company worked, the departments linked and how the organisation of the business resulted in its fantastic success as a small company founded in 1982 to a company with more than 300,000 clients, offices all over Australia and over 850 staff. In 2012, I was promoted to Business Support Officer.
