I lead, manage and develop L&Q’s Homeownership Team, with the recent addition of the Homeownership Team at Trafford Housing. I help develop new ways of working, depending on market conditions, in order to maximise income generation and make best use of existing assets. The team is made up of 2 Heads, 4 Managers and over 25 officers. They oversee the administration of 13 homeownership sub-products and are the main contact across the L&Q Group for customers in over 20,000 homes. The existing team are responsible for generating one of L&Q’s main sources of additional income.

I currently work in the Home Owner Options department progressing sales through the Right to Buy and Acquire Scheme. My role involves providing expert advice, collating data needed for the prospective buyer and working with solicitors to answer enquiries for conveyancing purposes. Using my sales experience and extensive knowledge of the schemes we offer, I ensure that our tenants are fully aware of exactly what they are buying and any future costs that may be involved. Alongside this, my duties include providing advice for Staircasing, Remortgaging, Lease Extensions and Lease Enquiries. I have also just taken on the additional role of selling loft space in qualifying properties. This involves checking the terms and conditions of the lease, the title plan and any other restrictions there may be on the property. Due to the high demand for the schemes we offer, every stage of the application process must be communicated and completed within strict time scales, to a high standard.

Sidcup

Having successfully established myself within the Sales department, I moved to a new team specialising in Mortgage Rescue, progressing sales through the Mortgage Rescue Scheme. This was an extremely challenging role, working closely with the Local Authorities in London, to help families in financial difficulty to stay in their homes.

Greenwich

Employed by Tower Homes (a subsidiary of L&Q) I was promoted to the Newbuild Sales team, after a short time as a Junior Administrator. Within this fast paced role I was responsible for progressing sales and lettings from viewings through to completion. This involved working at show homes, taking reservations, presenting at sales events, liaising with Financial Advisors, Mortgage Lenders and Solicitors, to ensure successful completion within a specific deadline.
