I am a Biomedical/Mechatronics engineer (Master degrees at the Polytechnic of Turin). I spent a research period at Aalborg University (DK) to work on human-robot interaction to write my mechatronics engineering master's thesis, and at UC Berkeley (US) I started to work on neural probes for writing my master's thesis in biomedical engineering. I completed my PhD in Biorobotics (The BioRobotics Institute, Pontedera). I focused on invasive and non invasive methods for Neuromodulation of nervous system for Bioelectronic Medicine applications. I collaborated with different academic partners in Europe (SISSA in Trieste, EPFL in Lausanne, LENS in Firenze, CNR in Pisa, UAB in Barcelona) and I was responsible for in-vivo experiments planning and setups design and implementation: hardware assembly and software programming. I gained expertise in the technical support during implant of neural electrodes and electrophysiological tests in different animal models (leech, zebrafish, rat, mouse, pig), collaborating with medical and veterinary doctors, and interfacing with people with different cultures and backgrounds. I am currently working as a Postdoc at the Department of Clinical Sciences and Community Health, Milan, in collaboration with the Universisty of Pavia. My research activities focus on Aortic compliance and TEVAR deployment/testing on ex vivo porcine aortic samples and 3D printed models. I am also working on the design and development of a model for eco-driven cannulation in ECMO: human tissue simulation, physiological pulsatility implementation, real-time pressure and flow control/monitoring.I am a dynamic, motivated, detail oriented and organized person. I like challenges and solving problems, working independently and also within a team.I am interested in Research, Biomedical and Mechatronic Engineering applications, Medical Technology. I like working with joung engineers and students and share my knowlodge.
