My professional experience is focused in neurosciences, genetics and nutrition.I am currently working at the Institute of Biomedicine at Eurac in the field of Parkinson Disease. The aim of the project is to find promising molecule to use for the rescue/amelioration of the disease. This position is in line with my previous job in which I used a particular type of long non RNA -SINEUP- in order to rescue haploinsufficiency caused Autism Spectrum Disorder. In 2015 I spent one year in the Next Generation Sequencing Laboratory of Prof Delledonne where I designed custom targeted genomic enrichment panels to screen human genetic diseases. In this period I also work with NextSeq500 ® (illumina Inc) sequencer.My previous experience in Cibio (Trento-Italy) was the setup of diagnostic laboratory in which perform genetic screening following the ISO 15189 Standards.In the past I worked in different Universities performing research in the hearing impairment topic using molecular biology, genetics and biochemical tools. During my post graduated specialization in Nutritional sciences I worked in hospital providing balanced dietary programs to patients. After the specialization in Nutritional Sciences I joined a company to prepare balanced-genome based diets. My teaching activity consist in undergraduate and PhD students supervision, laboratory tutorials, refresher course to teacher and evaluation during final graduation at high school.Main skills: Expert in Molecular Biology, Genetics and Cellular Biology.
