I have 14 years of experience working across climate change and innovation in the public and private sector. Career highlights include being one of the lead authors of New Zealand's first emission reduction plan, being invited to speak at COP23 on the role of technology in reducing agricultural emissions, leading the NZ Government's approach to circular economy and bioeconomy, leading the development of NZ's first agricultural emissions action plan and a low emissions energy roadmap, and leading climate innovation for livestock methane.My current focus is on clean tech and the system change needed to develop and scale clean technology. My skills include collaboration, strategy, problem solving, technical knowledge regarding climate change and clean tech, and communicating information. I am a change agent. Many of the big pieces of work I have landed have been tackling wicked climate change problems with challenging dynamics. I'm not afraid to push for the needed action to address climate change. I recognise we need to disrupt while also bringing key players on the journey. Many of my pieces of work have unlocked the momentum for significant collaborations and programmes. It's not always easy to challenge the status quo, and I find it is always more effective to work with a network of other big thinkers and doers.
