Biografical note – Francesca FerrazzaI live and work in San Donato Milanese (Mi), Italy. I am Head of the Magnetic Fusion Initiatives unit at Eni S.p.A. (Italy) in the Technology Direction of the company.I have a background in semiconductor physics and over 30 years of experience between applied research in the field of photovoltaics, in particular crystalline silicon, renewable energy technology, and R&D management. I have recently started working in the area of Magnetic Fusion. I am member of many national and international scientific committees and working groups on renewable energy. In particular, for over fifteen years, of the European Photovoltaic Technology Conference and Exhibition as Topic Organizer and was US based IEEE PVSC scientific member and International Committee co-Chair. Recently I was appointed as member of the scientific committee of the World PV Conference WCPEC-8. I am also foreign member of the Australian Academy of Technology and Engineernig (ATSE), and serve on the Board of Directors of DTT (Divertor Tokamak Test) in Italy. I am member of the Committee of Italian Cluster Tecnologico Nazionale Energia (CTNE) I published many journal and conference articles and papers, book chapters, and am co-inventor of patents in the field of photovoltaics.
