About Francesca Graziani

During my university career I developed a complete understanding of the main themes of engineering and chemical engineering. My first work experience (2011) in a wastewater treatment plant, has given me the opportunity to investigate different issues. I became an A.I.A. manager ( Autorizzazione Integrata Ambiente - Dir. IPPC, 2008/01/CE) which entails: a) to ensure that checks and inspections are carried out according with all requirements; b) to manage the relationship with local institutions. I developed a notable understanding of analytical methods and test procedures for water and gas; of technical innovation to ensure environmental protection; of safety at work and management of the HSE system. It was an important experience in project and team management as the leading person in charge of several responsibilities. I was supervisor of the laboratory activities and I contributed in the inclusion of new processes: Fenton reaction, processes of flotation, nano filtration, reverse osmosis, cogeneration plant.I cooperated in the classification of the plant in according with ATEX Directive ( 94/9/EC-99/92/EC). I managed human resources: planning, coordinating and overseeing all the relevant activities and inspections. This first home experience gave me the opportunity to offer my skills in the international scenario. In my current job in Brazil, I cooperate with a foundation, which offers solutions for environmental management, with the role of project management and technical consultant. I am involved in all sectors (marketing, education and training, final disposition of industrial wastes, RDF production and environmental consulting) to develop new opportunities, to offer environmental assessment and sustainable solutions to optimize process performance and reduce environmental impact, in according with Brazilian legislation and costumers’ needs. I manage the relationship and the cooperation with Brazilian end international research centers and universities.
