Starting my time at Al Tayer working on the Harvey Nichols – Dubai account, my experience grew rapidly, not only in PR, but also in International PR and business. PR relations grew quickly but this role also allowed for gained knowledge of full commercial business through working closely with additional stakeholders; including Marketing, Events, PR, VM, Social – an in-house exposure I had not always been privy to. I worked on the yearly PR Plans, supporting the Marketing plans, and ensured execution through the team. Working across luxury men’s, women’s, children’s, accessories and beauty as well as two salons, and a restaurant, the job then expand to additionally managing the PR for the Beauty division within Al Tayer, featuring Laura Mercier, Harvey Nichols – Dubai Beauty, Bloomingdale’s Beauty, Areej and Illamasqua (as well as additional Niche brands). From January the opportunity came to lead the PR for the Lifestyle division within Al Tayer across 9 brands including Gap, Banana Republic, Mamas & Papas, Crate & Barrel, Armani Exchange. This includes creation of yearly plans, managing execution including press events, budgets, influencer strategy, a full 360 support.

Joining TRACE Publicity as Account Manager and now working within the team as Senior Account Manager; delivering PR strategy within an extremely fast paced environment across a variety of high street and high end brands and designers. From big budget and international brands Steve Madden, Boux Avenue and Folli Follie to newly launching brands MeeMee.com, Missoma Jewellery, and MARYLING to London Fashion Week on-schedule designers, Fyodor Golan, Georgia Hardinge and Jean Pierre Braganza, my knowledge in brand activity and PR strategy is extensive with strong press relations across the board of high street and high end UK media. Managing a junior team is part of my everyday role. I am highly organised, passionate, selfmotivated; ensuring pride in my day to day work encouraging my team to be the same, enforcing the smooth running of an office. Management of press events from big budget events to smaller scale intimate press events, my vast variety of clients allows for experience in both; planning and overseeing. I am experienced within London Fashion Week and Paris Fashion Week; executing shows each season for the last two years on-schedule. Celebrity product placement is also a key element to my TRACE job role.

The agency caught my attention because it has such a vast spectrum of brands and designers, leading to no two days being the same, and a real array of experience – I learn something new everyday at Cube! We pride ourselves on providing honest, un-patronising and creative PR, I work on building press relationships from weeklies to style press, I work on events, creating PR strategies and I also work on Look Books. I have worked on a range of clients at Cube, including – brands Bank, JD Sports, EMU Australia – Designers Sophie Hulme, Louise Amstrup and Noki, again giving me a broad range of clients from established brands such as the JD Group, to International clients such as EMU and up-and-coming designers such as Sophie Hulme. I am currently working at an Account Manager level, working across many of these clients alone and as their main port of call. I am client facing and enjoy nothing more than a good PR strategy meeting! I have a passion for fashion and beauty, and enjoy working within the close-knit industry. Throughout my time within my current role, I have developed relationships, friendships with many of the fashion press, from Vogue to Look to online blogs, I am confident, and enjoy socialising within my role. I am creative within my role, due to a passion for the brands and company, I am confident whilst writing press releases, and creative throughout tasks, which is important for Cube PR.

I completed a week’s work experience at my-wardrobe and was subsequently offered a job for straight after my graduation date, which I felt was quite an achievement. I was thrilled to be working within the press team, as Press Assistant, which I really enjoyed. Working in such a small and demanding, fast paced office I learnt a lot day to day. My everyday duties included: liaison with press and stylists, drafting of press materials, monitoring of press for coverage and opportunities, management of sample and image distribution to all media, management of weekly appointments with key fashion assistants and editors, creation of a quarterly coverage book and PR activity report, coordination of media events, supporting the PR Director in creating activity plans and press sell ins, managing e marketing activity, amongst a lot of admin, PA duties to keep the office ticking along. I had (and still do have!) a real passion for this job, and the company, I worked hard in every aspect and am proud of all that I achieved within my-wardrobe (nothing feels better than seeing a story you have pushed on the pages of Stella magazine, or Look Online). I am confident in PR, and really enjoy speaking to journalists on a daily basis. I am happy to get involved in all tasks and always give 110%.
