Hi I'm Francesca, a HR professional with a core focus on providing creative learning & development, diversity and engagement initiatives for dynamic, high growth organisations to align with their strategic goals. Outside of HR, I have a passion and am committed to empowering communities with tools to navigate career progression and personal finance. Both areas of work being a result of an unconventional journey!HR Career:Due to lacking the affordability to go to university and a preference for practical learning, I began my HR career early and took an alternative route to becoming CIPD qualified via an apprenticeship. Since then I've carried out generalist roles, which have exposed me to all areas of HR and later having my own client groups. I then found my niche, which is exercising my creativity to support and implement learning & development, engagement and diversity initiatives, which I currently do in a new role that was created internally for me. Taking such an unconventional route, I visit many schools and colleges to share my experience, educate early careers talent on the alternative routes to university and how to put to their best foot forward irrespective of the route they feel is best for them.Change Blueprint:Outside of my HR career, you can find me talking about navigating career progression and personal finance . I created an initiative called 'Change Blueprint' which aims to provide an accessible curriculum on these areas to those from underrepresented groups. I started this mainly due to struggling financially in my teenage years due to a spinal operation and then navigating my career at a young age in the financial industry, which enabled me to understand more about personal finance than what I was taught growing up, be more financially educated and invest in property from the age of 21. However, I've been an anomaly amongst my friends and family. In the UK, financial literacy is like a game that many aren’t given the instructions to. I created Change Blueprint as a way of making the game fair for everyone via talks, workshops, online content, resources and sessions for universities, youth organisations and other educational institutions.
