People describe me as persistent, agile, and introspective. On and off the court, I am an effective communicator and proud leader. It has been noted that my ability to think critically in fast-paced environments while providing constructive solutions has yielded me the highest return in both academic and athletic settings. I am beyond grateful for the opportunity to continue my academic career at Brandeis University, as an BA/MBA Candidate in the International Business School. My undergraduate expertise in psychology and business, which I honed at Brandeis University, have led me to pursue concentrations in Marketing and Strategy and Innovation. In everything I do, I am passionate and purposeful. Basketball is certainly one of my passions and having the opportunity to lace up my high tops and compete on the hardwood for my final season as a Brandeis Judge is extremely special to me. I have been a student-athlete for most of my life, and this experience has not only enhanced my leadership skills, but it has also strengthened my time management which is a crucial skill that results in my productivity. Being re-nominated as this year’s team captain by my teammates and coaches is evidence that I am able to mentor, collaborate and effectively communicate with my peers in a team setting. While I am intrinsically motivated, words of encouragement allow me to reflect and grow. Atticus Finch once said, “You never really understand a person until you consider things from his point of view… until you climb into his skin and walk around in it”. This quote lives in the back of my mind, reminding me that everyone I meet has something valuable to teach. My work as a diversity, equity and inclusion intern has enhanced my ability to have meaningful and critical conversations that allow me to connect with people beyond the surface. Attending Brandeis’ International Business School affords me the opportunity to build relationships with students and faculty, alike, from diverse backgrounds, which strengthens my understanding of different cultures. My growth mindset enables me to embrace challenges, persist through adversity, and learn from those around me.
