Coordinate Sustain projects (Simple by Design, POP, IME, Localization) in regards of rubber hoses designed and produced in PHDE Veniano facility and/or outsourced. Operate with the targets to provide continuous improvement and simplification to product lines and to identify and execute cost reduction opportunities and process efficiency. Cooperate with Division New Product Development Manager and support cross functional new product development projects by proper prioritization of shared resources and prototyping activities. Together with similar Engineering functions across Division, cares for methodology, management tools and documentation standardization. Support local Process Engineering team in solving issues related to product/process interaction. Support and participate into initiatives needed to explore market opportunities, address customer needs and/or establish technical relationship with clients and suppliers. Support with my team Supply Chain and Quality teams respectively in new material/supplier validation and technical claim management. Together with Operation Management, identify and propose process development and optimization activities

Coordinate my own team and inter-functional teams in defining methodologies and technical evolutions of existing production processes. Identify and implement process control systems needed to map and monitor process performances. Build up and define investment plans accordingly to what above. Set up liaisons with external technical suppliers to develop customized solutions. In cooperation with Lean & Manufacturing teams, provide ideas and solution to optimize production flows and support factory performance improvements plans;Perform scouting activity in terms of new technology. Manage product development of existing products in case of product specification optimization connected to new applications and/or production optimizations. Evaluates R&O in introduction of new materials for product performance improvement or cost reduction needs.

Lead and manage Quality dept (team of 7 employees) , settings goals and establish metrics for all the value streams. Management of corrective, preventive and contained actions related to internal and external scrap within the respect of the quality budget and cost saving objectives. Responsible for Quality Management System and for ISO9001 Quality Certification. Enhance continuous improvement philosophy. Provide Quality monthly report for the Division. Establish training inside the Quality dept. to develop others. Coordinate all prevention activities on product/process (APQP ,FMEA, 8D’s, etc) . Define and coordinate the raw material and outsourced finish good incoming control. Develop quality reduction cost plan to achieve objectives from the Corporate. Responsible for all the technical claims decisions and corrective actions.

Coordinate the activities of the process engineers inside Veniano (Italy) and Hoogezand (Netherlands) Value Streams working on the low, medium and high pressure hoses production lines. Cooperate with new product development responsible, with production, quality and maintenance department in achieving the strategy deployment goals, such as cost saving projects, quality improvement, new equipment purchase, new line industrialization and standard work implementation through Lean and six sigma methodology

Responsible for the specifications in the medium pressure hoses department, for the industrialization of new products, for the homologation of new and alternative row material, for work instruction and standardize work implementation and the related operators training, with focus on continuous improvement on exiting process and machineries (rubber and plastic extruder, wire winding and braiding machine, vulcanizer) . Cooperate with quality department to solve production issue and to reach the quality strategy deployment goals (like PPM, claim and COPQ reduction, first pass yield improvement). Collaborated with the value stream manager on waste reduction (saving and productivity improvement projects). I have been responsible for a new line installation in Veniano for the production of a new patented hose developed in U.S.A.

After a proper training on polymeric material technology, I have worked with the person in charge of the polymeric materials development in the research of new materials and solutions for an overall improvement of the R&D projects. I also worked on the solution of various issues concerning polymeric materials applied to the standard production processes. I collaborated with the Parker mixing room located in Siziano (Pv), especially with the chemical lab (TGA, DSC, IR, reologic and mechanical analysis)
