Pharmacy Services Coordinator
My main responsibility within this role was booking in patient's deliveries for their medication via telephone or email. A key part of the job role was customer service therefore, I always ensured I delivered the highest standard of customer service at all times. In addition, weekly targets were set by my Store Manager for all employees to meet and I, in the most, achieved them all. They asked me to return during my summer break from university where I gained further experience.

I held a full-time leadership role during my gap year where I was responsible for managing a team of 20-25 Cashiers and Service Desk employees. I held regular review meetings with them, to ensure they were meeting targets and providing the highest possible standard of customer service. I was the Duty Manager on shift, dealing with any form of customer complaint or enquiry, whilst making sure the store was meeting standards and exceptionally tidy at all times. In addition, I was responsible for office security and fire safety, ensuring the property was securely locked with the alarm set every evening, as well as all fire safety protocol being adhered to at all times. This role was challenging as I had to appraise and discipline others, but this valuable learning experience has enhanced my leadership skills and developed my management skills.

I held a part time position working throughout the week as well as weekends. My duties involved Working behind the information desk operating the store phone, communicating with both customers and suppliers whilst dealing with any queries and orders. I also had to handle large sums of money when closing all the tills and operating the cash office. In this role I was responsible for monitoring the performance of the Checkout Assistants and was more often than not the person they asked for help. I undertook and administered regular trainings regarding the sale of restricted items, food hygiene, fire safety and checkout till safety. I worked closely with my colleagues and managers to ensure that our customers received the best possible customer service.
