I adore researching to ignite my design creations! Just thinking of researching makes my heart pitter patter! Being exposed to many unique and different cultures since I was born have influenced my creativity. My imagination is fueled by art, music, and film. Let me share with you why and how it translates into my work.I was born in New York City and grew up in Connecticut, went to school in Montreal, Canada and London, England. Being exposed to different environments sparked my interest in connecting with new people!Currently, I am looking for a creatively challenging new adventure! Previously, I worked for LVMH and KERING on a Womenswear Design Team. As part of the design team at Stella McCartney, I was able to apply my cultural interests, taste for researching and my extensive design skills into each creation. I loved the intense environment I experienced during my time at Stella McCartney. I assisted in fittings, collaborated with senior designers and pattern makers to ensure silhouette proportions were executed properly. I gained knowledge of fit and construction while being hands on in assisting in prototype mock-ups to create a final product. My Stella McCartney Womenswear Design Team experience exposed me to the world of luxury design. I developed strong investigation skills from my experience working with André Leon Talley on a massive couture exhibition collection for The Metropolitan Museum of Art. I conducted extensive luxury, vintage and library research. I stay up to date with industry trends, techniques, and technologies related to technical design and garment construction. I graduated with First Class Honours from London College of Fashion with a BA Degree in Womenswear Design. As an American Designer with an international education, I bring a unique perspective to any design team. My education and work experience has exposed me to the knowledge of creating detailed illustrations, flat sketches, computer-aided designs (CADs) and creating tech packages. Being organized comes easily to me. I have strong time management skills with the ability to work under tight timelines.I am also learning American Sign Language as it is near and dear to my heart. At the same time, I believe the fashion industry can be more inclusive to people with disabilities. I get excited about opportunities where I can be creative using my hands, be it sewing, patternmaking, draping or sketching!Let’s create together!
