About Francesca Prete, Phd

• Three-fold competence: Psychology, Immunology, Clinical ResearchThroughout all my pre and postdoctoral research years, I have cultivated a passion for studies aimed at elucidating the role of psychological processes in biological regulation, particularly focusing on the relationship between psychic events and immune responses. Consequently, I decided to complement my education by enrolling in psychology studies according to a neuroscientific and person-centered approach.Today, in my clinical practice, I can offer a solid understanding of the molecular and cellular foundations of various pathologies (chronic, inflammatory, degenerative, psychosomatic, etc.). Additionally, I bring experience in (neuro)psychological assessment and cognitive remediation, coupled with an integrative psychological approach that incorporates the principles of person-centered psychotherapy, EMDR, hypnosis, and polyvagal theory.As a researcher, my specific interest lies in research activities focused on altered states of consciousness and their potential applications in treating patients with mental disorders. I am particularly interested in exploring protocols for psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy (PAP) and sound therapy
