My primary responsibilities include:• Monthly Home Visits: I conduct monthly face-to-face visits with the children under my care to ensure their health, welfare, and safety in their current living environment.• Educational Engagement: I visit schools and daycares quarterly to observe the children’s social development and address any learning obstacles. During these visits, I communicate with educators and caregivers to clarify my role as an advocate for the children’s best interests.• Parent Support and Reunification Assistance: I meet monthly with parents to support their family reunification efforts. This includes helping them secure employment, stable housing, and reliable transportation, as well as connecting them to additional community resources when needed.• Documentation and Reporting: I document all interactions and observations in Optima, including monthly updates on the children’s and parents’ statuses.• Court Representation: As a Guardian Ad Litem, I attend quarterly court hearings to advocate for the children’s best interests.• Family Conferences: I participate in biannual family conferences, where I collaborate with service providers to review progress, address barriers, and strengthen support.• Medical Coordination: I ensure that children’s medical appointments are scheduled and attended, coordinating with healthcare providers to track their health needs.
