NHS GMTS placement with the Keystone MHTs for Oxford City.

The College Council is the regulatory body for Regent’s Park College Oxford, a registered charity. As a member of the council, I help to scrutinise, oversee and ratify the actions and spending of the Governing Body. This provides valuable experience in charity regulation, formal meetings and financial scrutiny.

- Primary responsibility for managing the practice’s Quality Outcomes Framework performance, worth roughly 10% of practice income. - I worked in conjunction with both the admin and management staff to revitalise our QOF systems, successfully managing to increase the number of points we achieved in the 2022/23 financial year compared to 2021/22.- I worked closely with the above teams and the GP partners to improve our recall system and searches database for the 2023/24 QOF year. This allowed me to extrapolate the skills I had in a wider setting, regularly communicating with senior members of staff.

- This was a contracted role for 10 months as a maternity cover- I worked on the phone lines and had responsibility for processing prescriptions and private work such as insurance reports.- GDPR, confidentiality and data protection were paramount, and I was able to undergo training to further understand and uphold these key values. - Working in an overstretched sector of the NHS as we emerged from the Covid-19 pandemic taught me important skills in conflict resolution, patience and further developed my communication skills, including sending professional emails and chasing invoices.

- President of Oxford’s original all-female acapella group, of which I was a member from 2018-2021. I also joined the group for their 2022 Edinburgh Fringe Festival run. - Organised gigs and events, and keep track of the group’s finances. - notably, I organised a run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, which the group were finally able to complete in 2022 (due to covid restrictions in 2020 and 2021).

- Primary responsibility for organising college tours and information for the three University of Oxford open days in 2019, marketing the college to prospective undergraduates with a record-breaking turnout. - Negotiated a new contract with Jesus College, Oxford, for Regent’s to play a part in their access and outreach work in Wales.
