I am a zoologist with wide experience in field studies. I started working on ungulates and other mammals, then I extended my knowledge to birds. I became a bird ringer, and I had the chance to study and ring birds in several foreign countries. My love for Africa brought me to work there too, first on monkeys, then on birds and other mammals. I worked a lot in the field and I still do and like it. My organizational and managerial skills were developed by leading and coordinating several projects, both in wildlife conservation and management, as well as in wildlife ecology. I gained experience in all phases: discussion with clients, planning and organization, field work, field team coordination, data collection, data analysis, final reporting, and presentation/discussion of the results, attending several conferences and writing scientific reports for the clients. My communication skills were developed through discussions and cooperation with colleagues, partners, clients, field assistants, farmers, and authorities, also at international level thanks to my good knowledge of English and Spanish and my basic German. I also experienced science teaching, environmental education, scientific divulgation in radio and tv programs, and I gave training courses to hunters, as well as several seminars and lectures at the university.
