About Francesca Thomas

As the Head of Dance and Teacher of Music and Drama at ISCA Academy, I lead the planning and delivery of the curriculum for dance, contribute to the design of the academy trust 'common curriculum', and produce dance performances for school events. I have been in this role since September 2020, and I enjoy working with a diverse and talented group of students and staff.I have 15 years of experience as a dance educator in both state and international secondary schools in the UK and Asia. I have a PGCE in Secondary Dance Education from the University of Exeter, and a BA in Dance Studies from Middlesex University. I am skilled in curriculum design and delivery for GCSE, BTEC, A-Level and IB dance courses, as well as KS3 and extra-curricular program design and management.
