A K-12 school, it offers a mission and values driven international education to students from more than 90 nationalities.In my role as Head of Dance At UWCSEA East, I design and deliver the academic curriculum for Dance in the High School (GCSE and International Baccalaureate), with a focus on Conceptual Based Teaching and Learning (CBTL). Whilst here I have worked hard to secure strong academic results for my department which this year included 100% grade 7s at IB, and 100% grade 7s or higher at GCSE. In my role as Head of Dance Activities, I also design and manage the extra-curricular dance programs for the Infant, Junior, Middle and High Schools, managing a team of teachers, and providing opportunities for performance. As part of this role, I orchestrate two annual dance productions at the school: Culturama, a student led anthology of culturally inspired dance works celebrating diversity; and Dance Showcase, a staff and student led themed showcase celebrating a range of extra-curricular dance work in multiple genres. Student involvement in the dance activities programs at UWC East are at an all time high, with almost 300 students involved in Culturama alone. This year I will be introducing a thrid dance platform for exam work, a showcase of dance works completed by students as part of the GCSE and International Baccalaureate courses.In my role as mentor I provide pastoral support, deliver the PSE program and coach students 1:1 to ensure that their progression through the high school is healthy, productive, enjoyable and safe. As a teacher of drama, I teach fundamental ensemble skills to students during their first experiences of drama, and foster their development as creators and performers as they learn to utilise these skills in two group projects for formal assessment.

Tanglin Trust School is an international school in Singapore providing a British based curriculum to both expatriate and local students. I held the post of Head of Dance and Assistant Head of Faculty at Tanglin Trust School for three years. As Head of Dance, I was solely responsible for the planning and delivery of the dance curriculum at the school which included KS3, GCSE, A-Level, the CAS program and the CCA enrichment program. I was also in charge of GCSE and A-Level exam administration and analysis. As assistant Head of Faculty, I was responsible for data management and analysis.Other roles I held at the school included teacher of drama (years 7 -9) and form tutor (years 10 - 12).

As head of dance, I was solely responsible for curriculum design and delivery for KS3 and KS4 (BTEC Level 2). I also held the post of Lead Internal Verifier for the BTEC course.During my time at the school, I also choreographed the dance numbers for the school musical 'Bugsy Malone' and was a form tutor for year 8.

As a teacher of dance, I designed and delivered the dance curriculum for KS3-5 including dance within PE curriculum, the BTEC Level 3 subsidiary diploma in performing arts (dance), the theatre school dance program and the dance enrichment programme. Evening Activity Counsellor: (06/2010-09/2010) Responsibilities: Planning and delivering a program of evening activities for campers including themed nights, dances, quizzes, performances, arts and crafts evenings, sports competitions etc; working as part of a small team of evening activity counsellors; managing program staff and cabin counsellors; recording detailed logs of all activities.
