From master data to artificial intelligence

I transformed a group of individual contributors scattered in three countries into a high performing team. This meant sharing common goals, organizing team workshops about team rules or identifying valuable and highly motivating activities. We have a common backlog, as well as documentation standards and machine learning operations. My team was presented as an inspiration in the agile leadership guild of Stora Enso. I am an advocate of working in cross functional teams in an iterative way, failing fast and learning. Because of this, I organized the very first Stora Enso company wide Data Hackathon. It has been a success.I very much love data science and I believe in empowering other colleagues in learning. I organized Stora Enso Data Science Guild and currently host seminars, as well as panel discussions around the hottest topics and developments in AI. I am working with a wide variety of topics related to AI, such as for example AI ethics.

I work in a team developing solutions with machine learning, process mining and automation to enable Intelligent financial processes and business operations.My current responsibilities include:working in close collaboration with managers, process owners and business stakeholders to identify improvement opportunities and development possibilitiesplanning, developing and  managing machine learning solutions for different business purposes (optimization, outlier detection, classification, time series, survival analysis)data modelling: from raw ERP data to meaningful datasets with a value and purposeanalytics solutions design, implementation, optimization, testing, delivery, maintenance and supportcoaching and supporting data science learning within the organization

I lead, manage and implement pricing analytics projects of from business case and data collection to analysis and final results. As tools for price optimization I am using advanced statistical and economic modelling. I also measure and analyze price elasticities across the product portfolio. In certain cases, I also use data from conjoint studies and CX surveys in order to build business cases for product launches, or to support particular pricing decisions. Communication skills are crucial in my everyday work, as I interact with people with heterogeneous backgrounds.

The main focus of my work has been price optimization by analyzing price elasticities. Also, I have been focusing on estimating and forecasting the value of sold subscriptions in different channels in order to optimize the value of sales. I have been responsible for test designs and data collection and analysis related to customer retention.

I used statistical methods and economic modeling in merger control cases. I also planned data collection and analysis framework for abuse of dominance cases and used quantitative analysis to monitor markets and prices.

I have been teaching assistant for doctoral level courses in Macroeconomics, and in particular of Dynamic Stocastic General Equilibrium models and Dynamic Programming.

I completed all doctoral level coursework in economics, specializing in macro and labor economics. Also, I performed data analysis and mathematical modeling, focusing on macro labor economic research.
