PLAY FOR KEEPS Creator and facilitator for this new outreach program established in 2005 for Stockyards Theatre Project. The program was created to empower actresses to develop their ideas into plays that would create new roles for women. The program is also open to writers who are developing new works. Enlist actors/writers/directors; secured workshop and performance space at various locations including: Theatre Building Chicago, North Lakeside Cultural Center and Northtown Library; run the workshop and critique process, assist writers on a one-on-one meeting and run talk back sessions following the public reading of each one act. The readings are a culmination of the workshop processOKLAHOMA!Directed St. Francis Xavier, Wilmette 2007 8th grade production. All children are required to be in the play. Engage 44 non-theatrical conscripted cast of 13 year-olds by incorporating their skills and unique physical abilities into the show such as juggling and gymnastics. Recruited four directors, set up casting, rehearsal space, secured theatre, PR, volunteers for front of house, hired stage manager, located and recorded music for the production.
